What is it?
An affiliated company within the Passport family that provides
claims and billing outsourcing services to health care providers.
Why do I want it?
Cosand claims professionals provide the resources and expertise to
facilitate improved claims submission and follow-up, which
significantly increases reimbursement.
Cosand specializes in Medicare and Illinois Medicaid. Our staff has
detailed Medicare policy knowledge with an emphasis on government
compliance. Our Illinois Medicaid units are led by former Illinois
Department of Healthcare and Family Services employees who were
responsible for provider education. We also service Blue Cross and
commercial payer projects.
In addition to claims and billing outsourcing services, our
professionals can identify process issues for claims management and
recommend improvements as well as facilitate employee training.
How does it work?
Depending on provider’s needs, we will recommend a certain number of
experienced staff to obtain and analyze the claims file and submit
for payment. Most often we conduct this work from our offices in
Oakbrook Terrace or Springfield, Illinois.
Our services range from assuming complete control of a specific
payer (i.e., Medicare, Medicaid) and resolving problematic claims to
temporary assignments at your facility(s). The length of our
outsourced claims engagement varies by customer.
